BankPlus, a full service financial institution, has total assets of more than $4.1 billion and 55 locations in 32 Mississippi communities, with more locations in Alabama and Louisiana coming in June.
BankPlus chose its location in The District at Eastover to showcase its use of an exciting offering for bank customers, interactive teller machines (ITM’s). BankPlus ITM’s provide the convenience of an ATM with the expertise and personal service of a teller. ITM transactions can include deposits, transfers, loan payments, check cashing and withdrawals in specific amounts including change.
With 67,000 square feet of Class A office space and premium visibility from Interstate-55, BankPlus has built upon a longstanding presence in Jackson and further established The District at Eastover as Jackson’s City Center.
“The BankPlus location in The District at Eastover brings together all of our business teams who deal with commercial and professional customers on a daily basis,” said Bill Ray, President and CEO of BankPlus. “This creates a synergy which translates to the customer in the form of superior customer service and convenience. Additionally, the first-floor banking office is engineered to provide a combination of technology, state-of-the-art design and combined job functions creating a new standard in personal and business banking.”
The BankPlus Building now serves as headquarters of the bank’s Jackson Banking Center and houses multiple departments on the building’s second and third floors including Commercial Lending, Commercial Real Estate, Cash Management, Private Banking, Wealth Management, WealthPlus and Business Development.
“BankPlus truly embraced our vision for The District at Eastover and it’s evident in the sophisticated build out of their space and the enhanced technology they introduced with this office,” said Breck Hines, a developer of The District at Eastover. “The bank’s more modern architecture and interior is in tune with the aesthetic and keen attention to detail one can expect to see throughout The District.”
BankPlus opened a state-of-the-art retail banking office on the building’s first floor that features cutting edge banking technology and additional conveniences for bank customers. The building’s first floor also includes 17,000 square feet of available retail and restaurant space with store frontage on both Interstate 55 and The District Plaza. The District at Eastover will soon make additional announcements on retailers moving into their mixed-use development coming to life in the center of Metro Jackson.
“We are thrilled to see The District at Eastover continue to take shape with the addition of BankPlus,” said developer Ted Duckworth. “Between this addition of another key anchor, the completion of the center’s green space, the near completion of The District Lofts and several soon-to-be-announced restaurants and retailers, The District is truly becoming a destination for both work and play.”
