Join us for the 13th annual Racing for Donation 5k/8k Run or 5k Walk on Saturday, April 12, 2025 at The District at Eastover in Jackson, MS! Registration starts at 7:00 am and the race will begin at 8:00 am.

• Registration for the 8K/5K run or 5k walk is $30. After March 15th, registration for individuals is $35.

• Team registration for the 8K/5K run or 5k walk is $25 per person (minimum of 4 participants required for team registration). After March 15th, team registration is $30.

Taste of Mississippi is a tasting event that offers culinary delights from fabulous area restaurants and beverages from local distributors, with a competition among participating restaurants for Best Appetizer, Best Entrée, Best Dessert, Best Presentation, and People's Choice.

For 35 years, this event has garnered local and statewide support from restaurants that simply enjoy supporting Stewpot in its mission to feed, clothe, and shelter individuals who are homeless and in need.

All proceeds from Taste of Mississippi benefit Stewpot Community Services. Stewpot Community Services provides compassionate assistance, at no charge, to people in need of physical and spiritual nourishment. Through our ministries, we serve people who are hungry, poor, and homeless, offering food, shelter, clothing, mentoring, care, and concern. At Stewpot, we believe that we all are fed through our fellowship with one another and that we are all stronger when we are offering our gifts on behalf of others.

Get ready to celebrate the luck of the Irish at the Fourth Annual Irish at Eastover!

Event Highlights:

Live Music: Enjoy the sounds of the B-Sides as they perform through out the evening
5K Run+Walk (6:15 pm): Lace up your sneakers and join us for a scenic 5K through Eastover! All participants will receive a t-shirt and a free beer ticket to celebrate after the race.

Leprechaun Lap (6:00 pm): Kids (and kids at heart) can take part in this short .25-mile fun run, perfect for the little ones to get in on the action! This sub-event is FREE, though no t-shirt or beer ticket is included.

In addition to the race, we’re turning up the celebration with a lively block party! Expect mobile bars, festive decorations, and tons of fun for all ages. Bring your friends and family to enjoy the festivities as we celebrate!

Jessie Primer is an award-winning jazz musician, saxophonist, and bandleader. He has performed with several noteworthy musicians such as B.B. King, Cassandra Wilson, and the Williams Brothers.

The District is proud to partner with WJSU 88.5 FM, our event host. Since 1976, WJSU has been the leading provider of jazz programming in the state of Mississippi to a diverse audience as a service of Jackson State University.

Join us on Saturday, May 4th at The District at Eastover for Adopt a Friend - An adoption & fundraising event benefiting the Animal Rescue Fund of Mississippi (ARF)!

The event will be located in the breezeway in between Nursery Rhymes Children's Boutique and the former Cultivation Food Hall from 11am-2pm.

ARF is a no-kill shelter that is home to over 60 cats and 240 dogs at any given time. They provide the residents a safe and happy environment while they await adoption. Come visit the pets available for adoption on May 4th at The District!

We will also be collecting monetary and in-kind donations for ARF! Needed items include:
Pet food, bowls, cat littler, puppy pads, beds, kennels, leashes, collars, cleaning supplies, and more. A full list of their needs can be found at www.arfms.org/donate.

PLUS, support ARF when you shop at Nursery Rhymes on May 4th! Nursery Rhymes will be donating a portion of their sales to ARF on this day.
